Required Background
The Distance Calculus courses are just that: CALCULUS courses.

The basic requirements for taking a CALCULUS course are:

For taking Math 161G/H (Calculus I):
  • Completion of Precalculus
    Trig, functions, graphing, etc

For taking Math 162G/H (Calculus II):
  • Calculus I
    Either AP Calculus (A), or Calculus I (3 unit transferrable credit course)
    Derivatives, limits, continuity
For taking Math 261G/H (Calculus III):
  • Calculus II
    Either AP Calculus (B), or Calculus II (3 unit transferrable credit course)
    Derivatives, Integrals, for functions of 1 variable.
Computer Background
The only computer background that is required is the ability to send/receive email via the internet and how to view web pages with a web browser. We are here to help you learn all other computer skills you will need!
