Fall 2021 Distance Calculus is designed to get you enrolled in Calculus-Based Statistics immediately, and to have you finish the course as quickly as your academic skills allow.
Each Calculus course is different, some are more difficult and longer than others. But depending upon which Fall 2021 Distance Calculus course, you could finish your course in a matter of weeks. It all depends upon your academic skills - some students are able to go lightning fast through the courses, some students need more time. Our only rule is that you go through the courses CORRECTLY and learn the material in our mastery learning format at 100% completion.
Our Fall 2021 Distance Calculus courses are designed to be asynchronous - a fancy term for "self-paced" - but it more than just self-paced - it is all about working on your timeline, and going either as slow as you need to, or as fast as your academic skills allow.
Many students need a Calculus-Based Statistics course completed on the fast track - because time is critical in finishing calculus courses needed for academic prerequisites and graduate school applications.

Courses Completed: Calculus I, Calculus II
I needed to brush up on my high school calculus and finally take Calc II before starting a graduate program that needed them as prereqs. This was perfect choice to fit in that summer. Got done at fast pace that I wanted and needed. Also had added bonus of one on one feedback and help when needed. Video lessons were better than many on campus instructors in large lecture settings. Recommend for anyone needing to satisfy prereqs at home institution.

Courses Completed: Multivariable Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra
After a really rough first year of calculus, I completed all of the second year calculus courses with Distance Calculus. It was like night and day the difference. My first year was so boring and monotonous. Multivariable Calculus, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra through Distance Calculus were just so much different - so not boring at all. I thoroughly enjoyed these courses. So engaging.

Courses Completed: Calculus II
The course material was well explained through the videos and notebooks, and it was nice to receive feedback on each assignment and correct any mistakes. However, the software required for the course was ridiculously outdated, to the point where I had to reinstall a very old operating system on my computer to even be able to run it. It was annoying and tedious to use, and it sometimes crashed. The graders were also sometimes overly picky about the way that concepts had to be explained to be considered correct (specific wording, etc), but it wasn’t too bad. Having multiple final exams seemed a bit excessive but again was not too bad. Overall, the main strength of this course is that it is completely asynchronous and self-paced, so I do recommend it if that is the most important factor to you. You will learn all of the material thoroughly, but you must be willing to deal with the more annoying aspects of the course (primarily the outdated technology).

The courses were excellent. Very flexible and engaging and the platform offers a lot of upper-level courses. Dr. Curtis is an outstanding professor and very responsive. I would take again.

After two failed attempts at my university, this course helped me understand Calculus. The live maths tool along with Dr. Curtis were especially helpful, allowing me to visualize concepts and expand my understanding.
